Screws into any vertical, central 14mm plug hole. Easy to use.
How to use this tool:
Remove the (14mm) spark plug, carefully rotate the engine to TDC.
Insert the Timing Tool.
Screw the plunger screw in until it touches the piston.
Gently rotate the engine backwards 1/4 of a revolution.
Turn the plunger screw to set the amount of required advance.
Every turn of the screw advances the plunger 0.050" (50 thou) or 1.27mm
Carefully rotate the crankshaft forward until the piston just touches the plunger. Adjust the contact breaker gap and then adjust the points back plate so that the contacts open at this point. Use a battery and bulb across the contacts to determine when the contacts open.
